Compliance Analyst - Marketing

THE OPPORTUNITY:

The Compliance Analyst (Marketing) is responsible for reviewing diverse marketing collateral items for compliance and providing prompt responses to Marketing and other teams. To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate and will be able to communicate the “why” behind the feedback along with offering compliant recommendations for the collateral.

THE ROLE:

  • Review, provide feedback, and approve all marketing materials, including advertisements, brochures, flyers, mailers, emails, social media, websites, videos, telemarketing scripts, and other promotional materials.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of marketing materials to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, including but not limited to Truth in Lending Act (TILA), Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), Fair Housing Act, and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) guidelines.
  • Monitor changes in mortgage lending regulations and ensure that marketing materials are updated accordingly to maintain compliance.
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and guidelines related to marketing compliance.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices related to marketing compliance.
  • Participate in regulatory examinations and audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries related to mortgage loan marketing compliance.
  • Perform additional responsibilities, as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS/CHARACTERISTICS:

  • 3-5 years in mortgage marketing compliance role.
  • Reverse mortgage and/or non-QM mortgage knowledge preferred.
  • Must have a working knowledge of both state and federal laws and regulations, including but not limited to, RESPA, TRID, TILA, ECOA, HMDA, FCRA, FACTA, FHA, HOEPA, MAPS Rule, and other regulations that are related to the consumer protection laws.
  • Knowledge of TCPA and Privacy laws recommended.
  • Strong research, organizational, problem-solving and analytical skills; able to manage multiple and sometimes conflicting priorities and workflow.
  • Attention to detail while working in a fast-paced environment a must.
  • High Level of verbal and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards and ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
