Security Administrator

Note from Client: "Below is a job description for a security analyst. That
said, I'm looking for a very entry level person to primarily handle daytime
support of which a lot is kind of repeatable and basic. I do not need a
security expert. This would be a good role for a go getter that wants to
learn and break into a security role."
***Compensation Range will be closer to $20-30/hr due to the clients request for Entry Level talent. However, mid-level folks may be considered at a higher rate as well.
Description:
The IS Security Analyst supports the IS Security Team with a wide range of security
activities. These include monitoring and enforcing IT based security
regulations, policies and administrative compliance items. The IS Security
Analyst works to resolve issues through assigned incident tickets, and
collaboration with the on-site support and project teams.
Additional
responsibilities for this role include assisting the team in any ad hoc
projects or regular operation and maintenance tasks. The roles day to day tasks
are likely to include coordination of data, loss prevention incident
remediation, security awareness training, responding to phishing or other
incident reports. The IS Security Analyst generates security reports as well as
other assigned projects and roles.
What you'll do

• Monitors systems for security or data issues and document observations
• Investigates security incidents
• Assists in Security Awareness Training
• Understands the user provisioning process & handle individual incidents/tickets pertaining to identity management
• Utilizes vulnerability management data to perform directed patches and updates to vulnerable systems
• Possesses basic understanding of systems architecture in their functional area
• Possesses the ability to learn technical areas with structured training
• Together with the leadership team, ensures compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans, in addition to customer requirements. Interprets and communicates customer requirements to plant production and/or support groups. Establishes and Audits PCPs, CCPs and Standard Operating Procedures to define and monitor processes, to ensure customer requirements are met. Reviews incidents during which the procedures are not met, and determines appropriate corrective action for partners failing to follow standard procedures.

What you need to succeed

• Bachelor degree in Business, IT, IS or related field
• 2+ years experience in Information Security

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $42.00/hr.
