Strategic Partnerships Development Manager, Commercial Growth Partnerships
The Business Development and Partnerships team helps plan Waymo's dynamic future and drive our go-to-market strategy. We work cross-functionally and use quantitative and qualitative analysis to build forward-looking commercial partnerships that achieve Waymo's strategic business objectives. As a member of this team, you will have a significant impact on executing Waymo's commercial deployment.
Your role will be remote out of San Francisco Bay Area and report into our Strategic Partnerships Development Lead

$162,000—$205,000 USD
Strategic Partnerships Development Manager, Commercial Growth Partnerships
The Business Development and Partnerships team helps plan Waymo's dynamic future and drive our go-to-market strategy. We work cross-functionally and use quantitative and qualitative analysis to build forward-looking commercial partnerships that achieve Waymo's strategic business objectives. As a member of this team, you will have a significant impact on executing Waymo's commercial deployment.
Your role will be remote out of San Francisco Bay Area and report into our Strategic Partnerships Development Lead
In This Role You'll
- Manage partnerships by identifying and implementing scalable solutions to enhance efficiency, maximize mutual value, and reach important milestones within our partnerships ecosystems.
- Craft and build a strategic engagement plan for Waymo One to stimulate demand, boost ridership and enhance rider experience growth through partnerships. You will create scalable models for strategic collaborations that bring value to Waymo and its partners.
- Develop and manage a diverse pipeline of potential partnerships across several dynamic industries in Waymo's current and future cities, such as identifying B2B growth opportunities and expanding the entertainment options within Waymos in-car experience. This includes researching opportunities, identifying external contacts for engagement, and leading the development, launch, and scaling of business opportunities.
- Assess and maintain partner engagement through the cultivation of trusted relationships. This requires gaining a comprehensive understanding of partners' priorities and challenges.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, product, finance, marketing, communications, strategy, and legal, to ensure understanding and achievement of goals crucial to Waymo's success.
- Travel domestically (e.g. Phoenix, Miami, Austin, and Atlanta) to Waymo cities 2x a quarter
- 5+ years of experience, including 3+ years in business development or strategic partnerships in the technology or transportation sector
- Experience structuring, negotiating and closing strategic partnership agreements; including content licensing agreements, affiliate partnerships, and growth partnerships
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product, legal, marketing and operations
- Capability to develop quality relationships with 3rd party partners
- Experience developing scalable solutions to complex problems within a rapidly-evolving organization
- Experience bringing nascent / pre-commercial technology to market
