Job Description

The Sales Representative position at Niagara Distributors is primarily responsible for the servicing the company’s customers; and the ideal candidate is someone who has the ability to develop and maintain a positive relationship with existing and new customers. This position is responsible for the development and growth with assigned accounts. Additionally, the Sales Representative position is responsible for all aspects of order collection and transmission. In order to be considered for this position, applicants must have a cellular phone, valid driver’s license, insurance, vehicle and an acceptable driving record.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop close working relationships with decision markers/buyers at target accounts
  • Responsible for all sales results at assigned and targeted accounts
  • Responsible for all A/R collections in each assigned account
  • Build overall sales and account penetration at assigned and targeted accounts
  • Responsible for pricing and margin management within assigned accounts
  • Ability to travel on a regular basis (no overnight stay): Monday through Friday
  • Actively participate in the training sessions to improvise knowledge and skills
  • Proposes and negotiates sales and pricing to the assigned accounts and to new customers.
  • Analyze Niagara’s product portfolio and compare to competitors’ options: pricing and specs.
  • Attend trade shows and exhibitions.

Qualifications and Requirements:

The Sales Representative position at Niagara requires a significant amount of regional travel. Therefore, there will be an estimated 80-90% travel associated with the position. This travel will consist of customer visits, quarterly business review meetings (observance of covid-19 social distance requirements and travel restrictions), and other sales-specific functions.

Experience:

  • Sales Experience: 2 years
  • Food and Beverage: 1 year (a plus)
  • Language: Proficient in Spanish and English (MANDATORY)
