The Assistant Plant Controller is responsible for overseeing and managing the financial operation of the Eustis Plant. This individual ensures that all accounting and financial reporting requirements are met while also providing a strategic financial guidance to the plant management.

The Assistant Plant Controller is responsible for overseeing and managing the financial operation of the Eustis Plant. This individual ensures that all accounting and financial reporting requirements are met while also providing a strategic financial guidance to the plant management.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Plant Controller in the preparation of the monthly financial reports.
- Prepare various analysis supporting/explaining the financial results of the plant such as, but not limited to, manufacturing expense flux analysis, standard vs actual cost variance analysis
- Prepare/maintain/track the plant’s operations key performance indicators such as, but not limited to, conversion cost per unit, over/under absorption
- Prepare gross profit analysis
- Manage the plant’s inventory and costs accounting processes.
- Perform monthly reconciliation of the plant’s inventory to the general ledger
- Monitor and perform root cause analysis of inventory adjustments
- Gather data for the determination of the inventory standard costs
- Update and roll standards
- Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures for the manufacturing department.
- Assist in the preparation of the long-range planning, budget, and forecasting
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to analyze production costs and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Oversee the supervision of personnel, work allocation, training, conflict resolution, performance evaluation.
- Bachelor’s Degree required, advanced degree strongly desired.
- CPA or CMA certification preferred
- Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing accounting or related field
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience with financial reporting
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with Business Central is a plus
