Business Analyst - Fund Accounting - Local to IL only
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with expertise in Alternatives and Fund Accounting to serve as the critical bridge between the business and technology teams. You will collaborate with stakeholders to gather, analyze, and translate business requirements into actionable technical solutions. This role is part of an agile scrum team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, focusing on enhancing operations and supporting the private markets investment process.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document detailed requirements related to fund accounting, alternative investments, and private markets.
Translate business needs into clear and concise technical specifications for development teams.
Work extensively with iCapital tools, supporting onboarding processes and ensuring seamless functionality.
Analyze, monitor, and improve workflows in areas such as capital management, fund managers, asset management, and private markets.
Utilize SQL to query data and support reporting functions as needed to validate requirements and deliver insights.
Act as a liaison between functional and technical teams to support end-to-end implementation of solutions.
Participate in agile scrum team activities, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, to drive timely and high-quality deliverables.
Provide subject matter expertise on capital markets and ensure alignment with industry best practices.
Required Skills and Experience:
Proven experience working with Alternatives, Fund Accounting, and private markets.
Proficiency in iCapital tools, with working knowledge of onboarding processes.
Strong understanding of capital markets, including asset management, fund structures, and investment lifecycles.
Hands-on experience with SQL for querying and validating data.
Demonstrated skill in requirements gathering and translating business requirements into technical documentation.
Previous experience working within agile scrum teams and familiarity with agile principles and tools.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills for effectively engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
