Job Overview:
The Workday Cutover Lead will play a critical role in the successful implementation of a cloud-based SaaS ERP system. This position requires a professional with a strong background in leading complex ERP cutovers, managing dependencies, and ensuring a seamless transition. The ideal candidate will possess excellent project management skills, stakeholder engagement capabilities, and a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks.
Local candidates are strongly preferred. However, out-of-state applicants will be considered for a fully remote schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all aspects of Workday cutover planning and execution.
- Collaborate with internal teams, technical groups, and implementation partners to create a comprehensive cutover schedule, covering functional (HCM, Payroll, Finance, Procurement), technical (integrations, reports, security), and change management (training, communication) components.
- Address escalations and resolve outstanding issues related to the cutover process.
- Track and manage tasks, risks, and project timelines to ensure successful completion.
- Work closely with business and technical subject matter experts to refine cutover strategies and deliverables.
- Provide detailed reports on progress, risks, and challenges, while developing mitigation strategies to meet go-live deadlines.
- Lead cutover readiness activities, including mock cutovers, stakeholder reviews, and execution planning.
- Act as a key decision-maker, escalating critical issues that may impact the project timeline.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Workday implementation program manager, overseeing multiple Workday components.
- At least 5 years of experience with Workday SaaS ERP implementations.
- Minimum 10 years of project management experience in enterprise-level implementations.
- Strong expertise in technical project management, operations management, change management, and release management.
- Prior experience working with state or public sector clients.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to drive change effectively.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
- Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure architecture and ability to guide onboarding and system transitions.
- Ability to facilitate meetings, influence stakeholders, and make strategic decisions to ensure project success.
