
Data Warehouse Architect
IO Datasphere, Inc. has been providing project management, software development and IT staff augmentation services to our clients in the Midwest and throughout the U.S. since 1996. We are an approved vendor on contract to provide software development and IT staff augmentation services for the States of Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. We also provide these services to businesses, as well as local and county governments, in the Midwest and nationwide.
Our client is looking for a Data Warehouse Architect.
Tasks
- Responsible for the complex Linux security model on DW ETL servers. (Servers are administered by another group, but our team is responsible for the security structure and authorizes user access to the groups and sudos)
- Responsible for Teradata security and access.
- Responsible for complex Common Batch Framework and Common Scheduler to ensure current and reliable data is available for critical business processes and decision making.
- Responsible for Data Warehouse change management infrastructure and all promotions of code and ddl; performing build engineer tasks for both manual and automated promotion processes.
- Responsible for migrating the three separate DWs supporting four client Program areas to Common Processes.
- Responsible for DW standards and processes including their adherence to policies and procedures.
- Responsible for conducting elevated access and user audits.
- Responsible for mitigating any audit findings; providing input to SSPs.
- Responsible for Data Warehouse Continuity Planning and testing.
- Responsible for providing support for the escalated Data Warehouse issue troubleshooting and resolution.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Proven track record of working independently within a collaborative team.
- Must be able to make decisions on the correct path forward in various situations while staying consistent with the client policies.
NOTE: CANDIDATES MUST BE LOCAL TO MID-MICHIGAN. RELOCATION NOT ALLOWED. This position is Onsite 2 days per week. NO REMOTE ONLY OPTION. 2nd Round may be an on-site interview in Lansing, MI.

Skills Required:
- Experience supporting at least one State of Michigan Department of Health and Human Services Data Warehouses or (at minimum) supporting another SOMI Agencies Data Warehouse.
- 12+ years - Teradata experience
- 10+ years - SQL experience.
- 10+ years - Shell scripting experience.
- 5 years - Linux experience.
- Bachelor s Degree (Please include on your resume)
