This role is responsible for driving measurable improvements in business processes, product quality, and customer experience through the strategic development of operational resources, training, and process innovation.

Operations Excellence Manager
The Operations Excellence Manager is a key leader in executing and continuously improving the framework for operational excellence at Foxtrot, centered around People – Process – Systems. This role is responsible for driving measurable improvements in business processes, product quality, and customer experience through the strategic development of operational resources, training, and process innovation.

Responsibilities
- Lead operational excellence efforts in support of Foxtrot’s objectives, ensuring operational processes and standards align with business growth and evolving needs.
- Develop, implement, and scale operational standards – Design, test, and refine lean, scalable processes across the Foxtrot retail business, focusing on efficiency, consistency, and future growth.
- Project management & execution – Lead cross-functional projects that drive process improvement, cost savings, and operational efficiency. Define clear milestones, ensure accountability, and track impact.
- Training design & rollout – Create, implement, and refine training programs, materials, and knowledge checks to support operational initiatives, new product launches, and café category (food & beverage) innovation.
- Challenge & innovate – Act as a change agent by identifying inefficiencies, questioning the status quo, and driving solutions that enhance operational performance and team effectiveness.
- Drive profitability & efficiency – Identify and implement initiatives to optimize COGS in café categories, improve labor management, and enhance inventory control within store operations.
- Ensure operational clarity & execution – Develop and deliver clear, actionable playbooks and training tools that simplify execution for store teams while maintaining high standards for quality, service, and compliance.
- Serve as a trusted consultant to cross-functional teams, ensuring that operational excellence remains at the core of Foxtrot’s business strategy, decision-making, and retail experience.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 5+ years of multi-unit operations experience in the hospitality, restaurant, or retail industry, managing at least 5 locations. Experience leading large-scale process improvements preferred.
- Proven project management experience – Ability to scope, prioritize, and execute projects with cross-functional partners, ensuring clear accountability and measurable impact.
- Training design & facilitation expertise – Experience developing operational training materials, playbooks, and learning tools that drive adoption and operational consistency.
- High accountability & execution-focused mindset – A relentless drive to get things done right, balancing efficiency with an understanding of the operational and people impact.
- Strong problem-solving & change management skills – Ability to challenge assumptions, influence stakeholders, and implement solutions that drive meaningful change.
- Exceptional communication & leadership abilities – Adept at engaging and influencing across all levels of the organization, from frontline teams to senior leadership.
- Commitment to quality & people – Passion for operational excellence with an unwavering focus on the experience of both customers and team members.
- Ability to travel regularly to support Foxtrot markets and store teams.
