*MUST BE BILINGUAL IN JAPANESE AND ENGLISH*
Responsibilities:
Select components and design layouts for electrical control panels under the guidance of a senior engineer.
Program sensors and pneumatic control elements.
Learn and apply NEC and UL508A standards for control system design.
Write and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and motion control programs during initial machine power-up.
Create electrical schematics and bills of materials based on provided instructions.
Adhere to time management and budget guidelines as directed by supervisors.
Follow established protocols to fulfill job functions and assist in developing departmental standards and procedures.
Interpret customer specifications with support from senior engineers.
Modify and create electrical schematics for machinery.
Collaborate closely with Mechanical Engineering team members.
Work under management direction to enhance process efficiency, meet budgets, and adhere to timelines.
Communicate with customers by phone to troubleshoot installed systems.
Travel to customer sites for system installation, modifications, and electrical controls support (up to 30% travel).
Train and work closely with senior-level Electrical Controls Engineers.
Requirements:
Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, and AutoCAD.
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology.
Proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical design tasks.
Familiarity with-or willingness to learn-industrial wiring concepts.
Knowledge of electrical schematic software (AutoCAD or similar CAD platforms).
Interest in PLC and HMI programming, and multi-axis motion control.
Enthusiasm for hands-on work with sensors and actuators.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
