Business Systems Analyst with chargeback and dispute process

Location: Dallas,TX / Pittsburgh, PA

Position Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Business Systems Analyst to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in chargeback and dispute processes, along with a solid understanding of POS terminals, card transactions, and payment systems. This role will involve working closely with stakeholders to improve processes, enhance system functionality, and drive business results.

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Dallas, TX / Pittsburg, PA is $110k - $120/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, document, and optimize business processes related to chargebacks and disputes in payment transactions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and define requirements for system enhancements and new implementations.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, root causes, and opportunities for process improvement within payment systems.
  • Support the development and maintenance of system documentation, including business requirements, functional specifications, and user guides.
  • Liaise with IT and development teams to ensure that system changes meet business needs and are implemented successfully.
  • Assist in the testing of new system features and enhancements, ensuring they align with business requirements.
  • Provide training and support to end-users regarding payment systems, chargeback processes, and dispute resolution.
  • Stay current with industry trends and regulatory requirements related to payments and chargeback management.

Requirements:

You are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of [X] years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, preferably in the payments or financial services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of chargeback and dispute processes, including relevant regulations and best practices.
  • Experience with POS terminals, credit/debit card transactions, and payment processing systems.
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting tools; familiarity with SQL or other database querying languages is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with specific payment platforms (e.g., PayPal, Stripe, Square) and knowledge of payment processing regulations.
  • Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) is a plus
