Location: Remote (EST or CST preferred) with 30% travel to Boston, MA for major meetings and milestones

Overview:
We are seeking a seasoned SAP Technology Lead with extensive expertise in ABAP development to lead the technical delivery of a SAP Central Finance (cFIN) implementation. This role is part of a large-scale migration project for a major biopharma client as the first step in transitioning to SAP S/4HANA. The Technology Lead will oversee the design, integration, and custom development efforts, ensuring the project's success and alignment with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical design, development, and integration of SAP cFIN, focusing on custom ABAP development to meet unique business needs.

  • Collaborate with functional and architectural teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

  • Oversee data integration and replication between SAP S/4HANA, ECC, and non-SAP systems, ensuring accuracy and consistency.

  • Develop and manage ABAP customizations, including reports, enhancements, interfaces, and user exits tailored for SAP cFIN.

  • Optimize system performance, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Establish and enforce security, compliance, and governance protocols within the SAP cFIN environment.

  • Manage and guide technical teams, including ABAP developers, to ensure timely and successful project delivery.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in SAP technical leadership, with a focus on SAP Central Finance (cFIN), SAP S/4HANA, and ABAP development.

  • Proven expertise in ABAP programming, including custom code development, debugging, and performance tuning.

  • Strong understanding of SAP integration technologies, data replication, and master data management.

  • Knowledge of MDM (Master Data Management) as it relates to cFIN.

  • Experience optimizing SAP systems and ensuring adherence to governance protocols.

Additional Details:

  • Project Scope: First phase of a multi-year SAP S/4HANA migration for a leading biopharma company in Boston.

  • Travel Requirement: 30% to the Boston metro area for major meetings, milestones, and significant events.

  • IV Process: 1-2 interviews with KPMG; no end client interview required.
