  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

We are an approved vendor on contract to provide software development and IT staff augmentation services for the States of Illinois, Michigan, Minnesota, Iowa, and Wisconsin. We also provide these services to businesses, as well as local and county governments, in the Midwest and nationwide.

Our client is looking for a PowerBuilder Developer and IT Analyst with a strong background specialized in PowerBuilder Development (version 7 or higher) and possess advanced skills in T-SQL query writing for Sybase and MS SQL Server databases.

Tasks
  • Data management
  • Source control (TFS/Azure DevOps, GIT)
  • Unit testing/documentation/testing
  • Production support

Change management

  • Software development and data integrity.

NOTE: Local candidates (strongly preferred) or non-local (must be willing to relocate at their own expense from acceptance with no delays & follow the hybrid schedule). Will need to be onsite starting day 1 for hybrid work schedule which is onsite 2 days a week (Wednesdays are mandatory to be onsite. The other onsite day can be flexible.). NO REMOTE ONLY OPTION. A one-page cover letter that highlights the candidate's experiences and skills related to the job is required. Candidates must be available for an in-person interview in Lansing, MI

Contract: 1 year

Skills Required:
  • 5+ years - Experience researching and modifying PowerBuilder source code to document the steps the application uses with data (PowerBuilder Development (version 7 or higher))
  • 10+ years - High level of SQL query writing skills to write complex queries to pull data from a Sybase and MS SQL Server database
  • 10+ years - Experience developing processes to extract and manipulate data to support data migration and data cleansing of application data
  • 10+ years - Experience in performing data profiling, data mapping, data manipulation, validation, and analysis
  • 5+ years - Experience working with source control technologies such as TFS/Azure DevOps, or GIT
  • 10+ years - Experience documenting and performing unit testing to support program changes
  • 10+ years - Experience creating, updating, and maintaining documentation for programs, system specs, and flow diagrams
  • 5+ years - Must be able to work with the client and/or Business Analyst to support test scenarios
  • 5+ years - Experience analyzing and documenting identified problems to determine root cause and provide root cause analysis
  • 5+ years - Experience following change management procedures and provide input to execute changes
  • Associate s degree or similar in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline
