SAP EAM Architect

Job Description:

Overview: We are seeking an experienced SAP Service and Asset Manager Architect to lead the design, implementation, and ongoing optimization of our asset management system using SAP's Service and Asset Manager module. The ideal candidate will be a technical expert in SAP solutions, specializing in the lifecycle management of physical assets, including configuration, integration, and mobile application development. You will play a key role in transforming business requirements into technical solutions, driving efficiency and ensuring seamless asset management across our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Requirements Gathering & Analysis:

   • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand asset management needs and translate them into actionable functional specifications.
   • Define requirements for asset classification, work order management, maintenance strategies, and reporting.

2. Solution Design & Architecture:

   • Design the architecture of the SAP Service and Asset Manager system, including data models, workflows, and integration with other SAP modules (e.g., ERP, PLM).
   • Architect mobile solutions to support field technicians with offline access and real-time data synchronization.

3. System Configuration & Customization:

   • Configure SAP Service and Asset Manager according to business needs, including customizing screens, fields, and workflows for optimal asset management.
   • Ensure the system is aligned with industry best practices and the organization's specific requirements.

4. Integration Management:

   • Lead the integration efforts between SAP Service and Asset Manager and other enterprise systems, ensuring smooth data flows, accurate interfaces, and data mapping.

5. Mobile Application Development:

   • Develop and customize mobile applications that enable technicians to access critical asset information and work orders, ensuring they can work offline and update data in real time.

6. Quality Assurance & Testing:

   • Oversee testing efforts including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing to ensure the system performs as intended and meets business expectations.
   • Address any issues or gaps during testing phases to ensure high-quality delivery.

7. Deployment & User Training:

   • Support system deployment by assisting with go-live activities, ensuring a smooth transition for users.
   • Conduct training sessions for end users, ensuring they are equipped to fully leverage SAP Service and Asset Manager capabilities.

8. Ongoing Maintenance & Support:

   • Provide continuous support for the SAP Service and Asset Manager system, addressing user queries, resolving issues, and implementing updates as required.
   • Stay up-to-date with system enhancements and ensure they are aligned with business goals.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• In-Depth SAP Expertise:

  • Deep knowledge of SAP Service and Asset Manager, including work orders, notifications, asset hierarchies, maintenance planning, and condition monitoring.
  • Experience with mobile capabilities for field technicians, including offline data syncing and real-time updates.

• SAP Architecture & Integration:

  • Strong understanding of SAP system architecture, including data flow, integration points, and interfaces between SAP modules (such as ERP and PLM).

• Technical Proficiency:

  • Advanced skills in SAP configuration tools and ABAP programming (if needed).
  • Familiarity with database concepts and best practices in enterprise system management.

• Business Process Analysis:

  • Ability to analyze and optimize asset management processes, ensuring alignment between technical solutions and business objectives.

• Project Management:

  • Proven experience in managing complex projects, including planning, execution, and coordination of cross-functional teams to meet project timelines and deliverables.

• Communication & Collaboration:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels and explain complex technical concepts in a clear, understandable manner.
  • Collaborative team player, able to work across departments and with external vendors as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) and SAP Cloud Platform is a plus.
• Certifications in SAP Service and Asset Manager or related SAP modules.
