Job description

The Machinist is responsible for fabrication and layout on a variety of parts or products involving close tolerances. Must set up and operate all machine shop machines to cut, bend, machine or form parts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1. Responsible for quality of work performed in machine shop area. Accountable for fabrication and layout on a variety of parts or products involving close tolerances. Must set up and operate all machine shop machines to cut-bend, machine, or form parts. Uses a variety of machine shop hand tools and measuring instruments. 2. Assist Group Lead in all functions of the machine shop including work flow and process improvement. Performs all job assignments as instructed by the Plant Manager and/or Group Lead.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE One-year certificate from college or technical school and five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
