Job Description:
We are seeking a Principal DevOps Engineer lead to drive automation, scalability, and security across cloud and on-premises infrastructure. This role requires deep expertise in CI/CD, cloud platforms, infrastructure as code, and security best practices. The ideal candidate will lead DevOps initiatives, mentor teams, and optimize deployment pipelines for high-availability systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and architect DevOps solutions to enhance automation, scalability, and performance.
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Manage cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) with a strong focus on security, compliance, and cost optimization.
- Oversee containerization and orchestration strategies using Docker and Kubernetes (AKS, EKS, GKE).
- Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk.
- Enhance infrastructure security, enforce IAM policies, and manage vulnerability assessments.
- Optimize configuration management and automate deployments across multiple environments.
- Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to improve DevOps best practices.
- Lead incident response, root cause analysis, and performance tuning.
- Mentor junior engineers and drive best practices in site reliability engineering (SRE).
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Infrastructure roles.
- Expertise in CI/CD, automation, and cloud-native technologies.
- Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and container security best practices.
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform and cloud security best practices.
- Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation.
- Experience with logging, monitoring, and observability using tools like Datadog, Splunk, New Relic, or ELK Stack.
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and compliance frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
- Experience leading DevOps transformations and mentoring teams.
