This fulltime, fully remote role will support the implementation and maintenance of telecommunications systems, ensuring seamless connectivity and optimal performance for our clients. Candidates from Washington, Arizona, Idaho, Georgia & Florida will be considered.
Job Functions:
- Maintain systems with security and operational best practices to protect the security, availability and integrity of company data, systems, networks, and applications.
- Assist customers with installation of SIP phones and troubleshooting of SIP signaling, call flows, and errors.
- Troubleshoot and identify RTP media problems, packet loss, jitter etc.
- Troubleshoot real-time VoIP software, IP protocol stacks and Linux server issues.
- Troubleshoot complex network issues pertaining to service provider networks along with customer network issues (LAN/WAN, Firewalls).
- Assist our customers in turning up new services with your configuration and troubleshooting expertise.
- Participate in after-hours on call rotation.
- Be available via company communication app during work hours to assist peers and other departments with repair and support related issues.
- Work outside of normal business hours from time to time for maintenance activity, system upgrades, migrations, etc.
- Exceptional customer service, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to customize your interaction to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Enthusiastic Self-Learner with good analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on your feet.
- Competent experience (3+ years) with IP telephony (VoIP), Session Initiated Protocol (SIP), unified communications, call center solutions, UCaaS, CCaaS, CPaaS, etc.
- Experience with one or more of the following networking technologies and services required: Metro-Ethernet, EVPL, ELAN, IPv4, IPv6, Multicast, BGP, SIP, MPLS, SD-WAN.
- Fundamental understanding of offshore staffing model in order to work alongside contractors.
- Understanding of SIP phones, experience with configs, troubleshooting, preferably Yealink and Polycom.
- Experience with NetSapiens PBX and Sansay SBC platforms preferred.
- Some experience desired in the following: Cisco, Juniper, Meraki, Edgewater, Cato, Zabbix.
- Read and understand SIP traces/ call flow ladder diagrams and identify problems.
- 2+ years’ experience working for an Internet Service Provider (ISP) in a technical support role.
- In-depth knowledge of IP networks, routers, SD-WAN, switches, firewalls, systems and tools, DNS, NAT issues, etc.
- Previous hands-on experience doing circuit and/or CPE installations preferred.
- Diligent work ethic. Must be self-motivated and able to take initiative.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and/or comparable industry certifications and experience preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
