Job Title: Software Engineering Manager

Salary Range: $140,000 - $160,000
Position Overview
The Software Engineering Manager is responsible for managing the systems software development group while also contributing as a programmer to the development of the company's products. This role involves working with company management to set department goals and objectives, as well as collaborating with technical team leads and project management to oversee and track the ongoing development of the product line.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage software development activities for the voting systems group, including analysis, product design, coordination of project estimates, development, testing, documentation, release, and deployment.
- Establish software project estimates and track project budgets.
- Participate in software development activities, actively contributing to the overall project.
- Develop detailed task definitions and development estimates for system-wide implementation activities based on customer requirements, design, and functional specifications.
- Work with stakeholders to develop accurate and detailed requirements documents.
- Contribute to the development of end-user documentation, design, and functional specifications.
- Ensure project goals and milestones are achieved.
Education and Experience
- A minimum of 10 years of software development experience.
- At least 5 years of software management experience.
- Proficiency with Eclipse, GIT, and MySQL.
- Experience using Java (11+), Python, and Spring.
Travel Requirements
- Domestic Travel:
- Ability to travel within the U.S. for installations and customer support.
- Typical trips last for 3 days; however, installation trips may extend longer.
