Role Overview

The Manager, Financial plays a key role in the strategic & capital transaction team, providing financial analysis & presentations to support key initiatives. This role develops & maintains financial models to evaluate capital alternatives, working closely with internal teams to ensure consistency. Responsibilities include supporting M&A, Investor Relations, Board discussions, & capital transactions while aligning financial strategy with the company’s operating plan.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support the development of the company’s long-term strategic plan & financial forecasting
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, & risks
  • Assist in integrating generation & retail operations through strategic forecasting
  • Prepare funding packages & support capital transactions, including M&A, debt, & equity financing
  • Manage due diligence, transaction data rooms, & third-party consultants
  • Verify financial model inputs & assist in negotiating term sheets
  • Evaluate business development opportunities, including mergers, acquisitions, & partnerships
  • Support deal structuring, negotiation, & transaction approvals
  • Assist in investor, shareholder, & internal communications

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in a transactional role, including in investment banking or renewable energy development
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a quantitative field
  • Must complete a modeling test during the interview process
  • Strong financial modeling skills
  • Experience in renewable energy modeling preferred
  • Solid understanding of GAAP accounting principles
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills
  • Ability to engage with management & financial partners
  • Familiarity with equity & debt structures in renewable energy
  • Knowledge of power markets is a plus
  • Detail-oriented & highly organized
  • Excellent time management under pressure
