The Opportunity:

The Mergers & Acquisition Transactional Services (MATS) Due Diligence Specialist will assist the Managing Director Due Diligence in the management and execution of the Quality of Risk (Q of R) deliverables. The Due Diligence Specialist should have well-grounded insurance technical skills and a firm understanding of mergers and acquisition and the related process. This role will provide support to the Managing Director Due Diligence and all related firms that influence our clients, consisting of law firms, private equity firms, investment banks, other.

In This Role You Will Execute On:

  • Support achievement of MATS annual revenue and engagement targets established during the planning process.
  • Support Managing Director Due Diligence with the development and improvement of the Quality of Risk marketing documents, client presentations, engagement letters, NDA, operating documents, models, other.
  • Execute on all work streams related to the Quality of Risk client deliverable.
  • As a resource to our offices, assist Managing Director Due Diligence in enhancing MATS value proposition within each Hylant office via training, marketing, and other activities with CE’s and staff.
  • Assist Managing Director Due Diligence in creation of strong firm to firm COI relationships within a region and on a national basis through high value process execution and project delivery.
  • Support Managing Director Due Diligence in identification of strategic opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Assist Managing Directors(s) Growth in their pursuit of new deals.
  • Develop a peer network within Hylant to increase MATS exposure and business opportunities.

In This Role You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
  • Five years’ experience with risk consulting, business advisory, or account management in employee benefits preferred.
  • Efficiently plan, organize, prioritize and schedule work activities/responsibilities to manage multiple competing priorities and meet tight deadlines.
  • Communicate effectively through strong verbal and written communication and customer service skills.
  • Build and nurture positive relationships with clients, within the MATS team, across Specialty Services and internally throughout Hylant.
  • Exercise attention to detail to deliver accurate work product.
  • Follow-through on commitments – Live up to verbal and written agreements with clients, teammates and Hylant staff.
  • Attention to Detail – Mastery of analytical skills to work efficiently. Apply significant attention to each individual client engagement to continuously build closer relationships with Managing Directors, Client Executives and clients.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and able to learn/navigate various technology systems.
