CA-API Gateway Developer
MUST HAVE: Strong experience with CA-API Gateway.
The contractor will be a shared resource between this manager's two teams. They are responsible for File Storage and File Transfers. Candidates should have at least a basic knowledge of File Transfer Protocols. Good experience with debugging. This is a custom-built internal application, so they will have to be able to learn it and get up to speed relatively quickly.
Need to have good Python Development skills.

We are looking for a full-stack engineer/developer who is not fearful to learn new technologies and understand the architecture to develop a system from infrastructure to code. Our goal is to build the next generation mechanism to protect API endpoints for our SI groups and external users to consume.
We are looking for a Sr. Developer/Architect/Specialist with a CA-API Gateway experience, Implementation, automation and customization experience.
Qualifications:
The candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of CA-API Gateway experience.
As part of this role the team member will work on CA-API Gateway product to provide mechanism:
- Proficient in developing and designing APIs in CA API Gateway
- Experience in defining overall API architecture, API implementations, integration and deployment of API management platforms
- Manage platform and support existing CA API Gateway (Formerly known as Layer 7) Policy Manager and API security implementation.
- Collaborate with business and technical team to define API development and integration design requirements.
- Experience with CICD Tools (Jenkins, GitHub)
- Required Strong awareness of latest web standards (OAuth, SAML, OpenID Connect, JWT Tokens, OAuth Tokens & others)
- Required understanding of grant types, with varying level of security consideration (Authorization Code Grant, Implicit Grant, Client Credential Grant, Refresh Token)
- Required Good understanding of infrastructure and network design
- Creating Python scripts to manage process efficiencies
- Preferred experience in system administration, design, and the operation of container platforms (Kubernetes), as well as in container technologies (Docker) and their management systems
- Certification in container orchestration systems (i.e., Certified Kubernetes Application Developer, CKAD) would be consider as a plus
The team member will also work closely with AWS services and get a deep understanding of how to:
- Protect your infrastructure within you own VPC
- Deploy your stack to your EC2 instance
- Setup your RDS environment
- Setup DNS using Route53
- Setup CloudFormation
- Write Lamda functions
- Setup AWS IAM
- Build AMI and deploy using our CI/CD pipeline
- Understand the client's AWS infrastructure
- Sustain and develop containerized solutions in a cross-functional environment
As part of this team, the team member will have the opportunity to influence our future state of:
- Service to Service call authorization using the gateway
- End to end process to govern API Access
- Provide user authorization capabilities using the gateway
- Provide strategies on how to move from our current architecture to the new state
- Responsible for designing, building/configuring, testing and maintaining containerized gateway applications/clusters
