Job Description:
Position Overview
- This position is to maintain and monitor end user workstations on an enterprise network running Windows 10/11, Office 365.
- Perform a variety of maintenance, software installation, all tiers of PC support and training tasks to ensure end-user workstations and network performance meets agency and end user requirements.
- Provide support, design and implementation of the back-office enterprise desktop environment, including mobile devices, user experience and system management infrastructure.
- Provide research and development relative to the growth and future technical advances of IT infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Provide all tiers of microcomputer user support.
- Responsibilities include user interaction, problem diagnosis and resolution.
- Hardware and software installation, testing, upgrades, and expansions.
- Test, evaluate and document new hardware and software problems.
- Consult with department managers and project consultants, to define departmental hardware and software solutions.
- Oversee mid-level projects including developing formal project plans, scope, timeline, costs, and implementation.
- Perform project tasks and work assignments and assign project tasks and work assignments to co-workers. Ensure work is completed assigned and within established deadlines.
- Monitor adherence to agency standards and policies regarding the use of microcomputer hardware and software.
Technical Skills & Tools
- Active Directory, Exchange, Microsoft Windows 10 and 11, Microsoft Office 365, Tanium, Jira, Atlassian.
- Strong interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability to work independently, with clients, and within a team.
- Organize, prioritize, and coordinate multiple work activities, meet target deadlines, and communicate with and influence technical and non-technical customers, colleagues, and vendors.
- Knowledge of VMware AirWatch, Tanium, Net Motion Apple DEP, Google Enterprise, Samsung Knox and MS Active Directory, Jira Service Desk, Confluence.
- Technical writing, including documenting policies, standard operating procedures, and user procedures.
- Use command line and scripting tools such as PowerShell.
- VMware VDI support.
- Automating application delivery to the desktops and VM Environments.
