We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Sensors Engineer to support our USAF contract on Robbins AFB, GA. This project is in support of the 402d Software Engineering Group (SWEG) at Robins Air Force Base, GA. The Senior Sensors Engineer supports the 402d SWEG's mission by working closely with engineers, developers, administrators and other technical teams supporting a variety of weapon system platforms and airframes such as the F-15 and F-35 fighters, the B-1B bomber, the C-5 and C-130 cargo planes, the MQ-9 Reaper and the HH-60 Pave Hawk helicopter. All work will be performed on base.

Responsibilities

Senior Sensors Engineers play crucial roles in the development, integration, and maintenance of advanced military technologies. Below is an overview of the typical responsibilities associated with this role:
  • Metrology System Development: Lead the development and integration of innovative metrology systems to enable stable and efficient production of technologies like Extreme Ultraviolet (EUV) sources for next-generation photolithography tools.
  • Process Responsibility: Oversee processes related to wire bonding, welding, lacquering, and reflow to ensure efficient and high-quality production.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide specifications and technical guidance to design teams throughout the product development cycle.
  • Testing and Verification: Coordinate or execute testing processes and design verification in lab test benches and cleanroom fabrication environments.


Requirements
  • Secret security clearance
  • BS Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Software Engineering from an ABET accredited school
  • Minimum 8 years 'experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Electronic Warfare
    • Radar
    • Electro-Optical / Infrared Sensors

AND
  • Minimum 3 years' software development experience in one or more of the following areas:
    • Java
    • ASP.net
    • C#
    • C++
    • Python
    • Javascript

AND
  • Experience with the 2 or more of the following concepts:
    • DevSecOps Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery Pipelines
    • Automation (Test, Cyber, Deployment)
    • Agile Software Development
    • Microservice Architecture
    • Cloud Based Design/Development
    • Object Oriented Programming
    • Embedded Systems Architecture


Schedule
  • Facilities are open 6am-6pm - you can work with your customer leadership to set hours
  • You can flex time during the 2 week pay cycle - avoid using PTO for appointments
  • A compressed work schedule may be available at the discretion of work center leadership (i.e. 4/10 or 9/80)
