Our client, a major bank in New York City, is looking for talented Technology Regulatory Affairs Specialist.
Permanent position with competitive compensation package (base is 170 - 195K), excellent benefits, and target bonus.

This is hybrid commute position with up to 2/3 days per week in the office.

Technology Regulatory Affairs Specialist.

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Technology Regulatory Affairs Specialist. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise, regulatory knowledge, and exceptional communication skills.
The ideal candidate will support the bank in responding to regulatory exams, ad-hoc requests, and inquiries, ensuring compliance with IT controls and providing high-quality deliverables in collaboration with various stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Stakeholder Collaboration:

  • Partner with internal teams (e.g., IT, Risk, Compliance, Audit) to collect, analyze, and synthesize data for regulatory exams or ad-hoc requests.
  • Coordinate cross-functional input to ensure timely and accurate responses to regulatory bodies.

Regulatory Exam and Data Management:

  • Manage end-to-end processes for regulatory submissions, ensuring alignment with technology and compliance standards.
  • Maintain detailed documentation and logs of regulatory engagements and deliverables.

IT Controls Expertise:

  • Assess and understand the bank's IT control frameworks, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to enhance IT control effectiveness and mitigate potential risks.

Presentation Development:

  • Prepare and deliver professional, clear, and concise presentations tailored to executive and regulatory audiences.
  • Summarize complex technical information into actionable insights, emphasizing clarity and direct communication.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field (Master s or relevant certifications preferred).
  • Strong background in IT controls, frameworks (e.g., COBIT, NIST, ISO), and regulatory compliance in the financial sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in high-pressure environments, meeting strict deadlines with accuracy and poise.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a proven track record of producing executive-quality presentations promptly and efficiently.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and collaboration platforms.
  • Experience working with regulatory bodies (e.g., FRB, DFS) and familiarity with banking regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across diverse teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a regulatory affairs or IT governance role in the financial industry.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies (e.g., cloud computing, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence) and their regulatory implications.
  • Prior consulting background around IT Risk Management or Technology Regulatory
