Job Overview:

The Workday Cutover Lead will be responsible for overseeing the Workday SaaS ERP implementation for a large and complex initiative. This role requires strong leadership, cross-functional project management, and risk mitigation skills. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully implementing cloud-based ERP solutions.

Local candidates are strongly preferred. Out-of-state candidates may be considered for 100% remote work if they meet or exceed the qualifications and experience requirements.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Workday Implementation Experience (Managed multiple Workday components)
  • 5+ years of Workday SaaS ERP experience
  • 10+ years of Project Management experience
  • Bachelor s degree or equivalent
  • Experience with public sector or state clients preferred
  • Technical Project Management, Change Management, Release Management, and Operations Management experience
  • Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the NextGen Workday cutover planning and execution.
  • Collaborate with Program Teams, Technical Teams, and Implementation Partners to develop a detailed cutover schedule covering:
    • Technical areas (Reports, Integration, Security)
    • Functional areas (HCM, Payroll, Finance, Procurement)
    • Organizational Change Management (OCM) (Communications, Change Management, Training)
  • Field questions and escalations related to cutover activities and work with stakeholders to resolve open issues.
  • Monitor cutover tasks, risks, issues, and timelines to ensure smooth execution.
  • Work with business and technical subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop and complete cutover and system remediation processes.
  • Provide comprehensive reporting of cutover activities, challenges, and risks.
  • Develop risk mitigation strategies to ensure an on-time go-live.
  • Escalate issues that could impact the go-live date.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
  • Prior experience as a Workday Implementation Program Manager.
  • Experience in cloud infrastructure architecture and onboarding new organizations.
  • Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.
  • Expertise in project management tools, documentation, and presentations.
  • Ability to collaborate and drive execution at all business levels.
  • Group facilitation, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
