Our Challenge:

The Business Analyst will be responsible for analyzing, designing, and implementing retirement plan solutions, specifically focusing on 401(k) plans. This role requires in-depth knowledge of retirement plan regulations, data analysis, and project management to ensure the effective administration of retirement programs, compliance with federal regulations, and enhancement of participant experience.

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors.

In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Piscataway, New Jersey/ Charlotte, NC is $95k-$105k/year & benefits (see below).

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis: Analyze participant data and plan performance metrics to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and compliance issues.
  • Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements for retirement plan enhancements and new initiatives.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all retirement plan processes comply with ERISA, IRS regulations, and other applicable laws. Assist in the preparation of required compliance documentation and reports.
  • Project Management: Lead or support projects related to retirement plans, including system implementations, process improvements, and vendor management.
  • Reporting: Develop and maintain reports and dashboards to track plan performance, participant engagement, and compliance metrics.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a liaison between various departments, including HR, finance, and legal, to ensure alignment on retirement plan strategies and initiatives.
  • Training and Support: Provide training and support to internal stakeholders and participants regarding retirement plan options and processes.
  • Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and changes in retirement plan regulations to recommend improvements to existing plans.
  • Vendor Management: Collaborate with third-party administrators and investment providers to ensure service quality and compliance.

Requirements:

You are:

  • Education: Bachelor s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; Professional certifications such as CEBS (Certified Employee Benefit Specialist) or similar are a plus.
  • Experience: 7+years of experience in a business analyst role with a focus on retirement plans, 401(k) plans, or employee benefits.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL), reporting software, and familiarity with retirement plan administration systems.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and regulations.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey information to various stakeholders.
  • Project Management: Experience managing projects, including the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
