  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Main Job Purpose:

You will be responsible for leading Ariba Source to Contract Implementation Projects, either on your own, for small scale projects, or as a work stream lead working as part of a larger team under the guidance of a solution lead and or project manager.

In this role you will lead workshops, helping the customer to define their requirements by proposing best practices for Ariba Strategic Procurement, (fka Upstream) covering Sourcing, Contract management, SLP and Risk.

You will be required to document to a very high standard all requirements gathered and detail the applicable business processes. In addition, you will be required to configure the application to meet with the requirements defined.

You will be expected to be a solution specialist for Ariba Strategic Procurement and will also be required to assist in the pre-sales process when not actively involved in project work.

Key Responsibilities:

The Ariba Strategic Procurement Consultant has responsibility for delivering top quality implementations, meeting and exceeding the expectations of our customers and adhering to the company vision. You will be expected to:

  • Deliver in all areas of the implementation lifecycle. From pre-sales, through to requirement gathering, blueprinting, realisation, testing, training and the eventual support and adoption of the platform
  • Be responsible for a specific workstream within a larger implementation project
  • Lead workshops, effectively and efficiently gathering the customer s business requirements
  • Share best practice approaches with customers and guide them in their decisions during the requirement gathering and design phases
  • Undertake simple configuration in the Ariba application
  • Work with developers to ensure that technical developments are understood and tested
  • Engage in unit and system/integration testing
  • Support all aspects of UAT
  • Demonstrate all aspects of the Ariba solution clearly and effectively
  • Ensure that your work is carried out on time and to budget
  • Conduct end-user training sessions
  • Assist with the handover to production and knowledge transfer to customer and support teams
  • Work on-site at customer locations in accordance with their policies and requirements
  • Ensure suitable communication/updates are being provided to internal and external clients in a timely manner.
  • You should be able to demonstrate that you have worked as a consultant responsible for delivering at least two previous implementations of Ariba Strategic Procurement.
  • Some understanding of the configuration and more technical features of Ariba is important when helping to guide the customer in their decisions
  • Effective collaboration and knowledge sharing with other members of the consulting team
  • Produce top-quality documentation, including but not limited to:

o Workshop slides

o Business process design documents

o Blueprint Documents

o Business Requirements documents

o Configuration documents

o Functional specifications

o Unit, System/Integration, and User Acceptance Test Cases and Scripts

o Training Materials


Key Skills and Accountability:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong client-facing skills.
  • Strong understanding of end to end Source to Pay processes.
  • Project Management skills (Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, SAP Activate, and PMP experience).
  • Experience managing AP (Accounts Payables) and Procurement Operations departments
