Product Line Manager

Our client is seeking a seasoned Product Line Manager to lead the strategy and execution for their Apparel business. This role will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive product creation, market positioning, and strategic initiatives while maintaining strong relationships with league partners, teams, and key stakeholders.

This role is onsite in Beaverton, Oregon.

Product Line Manager Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute product line strategies that align with consumer insights, market trends, and business objectives.
  • Establish and cultivate relationships with league representatives, teams, and key market stakeholders.
  • Analyze business performance, including bookings and sell-through by channel, country, and product category, to optimize assortments.
  • Lead and influence cross-functional teams, including design, merchandising, development, and operations, to drive the product creation process.
  • Oversee the briefing and planning of styles/SKUs to ensure profitability, margin optimization, and revenue growth.
  • Serve as the business lead in key product meetings, aligning product vision with market needs.
  • Create compelling product narratives that connect with athletes and consumers at a local level.
  • Drive the execution of strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment with broader brand objectives.
  • Develop and present product strategies, including pricing and positioning, to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain awareness of competitive trends and consumer demands in key North American markets.

Product Line Manager Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in product management, merchandising, or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of the product creation process, market positioning, and retail analytics.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, influence, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in business analysis, retail math, and strategic planning.
  • Experience with tools such as Keynote, Adobe Suite, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Familiarity with the competitive landscape and consumer behaviors within the global football (soccer) market.
  • Passion for sports and deep knowledge of athlete needs, marketplace trends, and brand storytelling.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% as needed.
