
Corporate Clinical Liaison
CarDon & Associates is hiring an experienced Corporate Clinical Liaison for our Evansville market. We offer daily and weekly pay options and great benefits.
The primary responsibility of the Corporate Clinical Liaison is managing the referral process and working directly with referral sources within the assigned territory. This role requires a high level of professional communication and interaction with case management, medical professionals, patients, and families to ensure clarity, trust, and effective coordination of care. The liaison is expected to effectively manage referral and admission volume within the territory to support company census. This role requires clinical and financial decision making, as well as a strong understanding of the skilled nursing facility (SNF) business line, exceptional sales and relationship-building skills, excellent organization, multitasking abilities, and proficiency in utilizing various computer systems and hospital electronic health records (EHR).
Key Responsibilities:
- Referral Process Management: Execute and manage each step of the referral acceptance process, timely and accurately. Work directly with admissions team to ensure facilities are adequately prepared to care for each admission.
- Bedside Visit: Meet with patient and family bedside to assess patient needs, educate and promote services effectively. Communicate with referral sources on site.
- Clinical & Financial Assessment: Clinical & financial evaluation to determine acceptance based on admission criteria. Communication with internal clinical teams for high acuity or complex referrals to ensure appropriate and safe admission. Provide appropriate documentation for insurance authorization and billing.
- Market Knowledge: Maintain a strong understanding of the SNF clinical and payment criteria. Maintain thorough knowledge of the market in general, as well as specific products, service lines, competitors, and acuity trends within the market.
- Service Recovery: Actively address and resolve a negative patient experience or service failure by identifying the issue, taking responsibility, and implementing corrective action in conjunction with facility and corporate leadership to regain satisfaction and trust.
- Territory Management: Maintain key account relationships and identify opportunities to grow new business. Strategically build account loyalty by using data-driven metrics to demonstrate value and become a trusted resource.
- Networking: Identify partnership opportunities and collaborate with providers across all levels of healthcare continuum.
- Education & Events: Coordinate education and events for hospitals, physicians, and other referral partners.
- Sales and Relationship Building: Persuasive communication and interpersonal skills required to build and maintain strong relationships with referral partners, coworkers and management teams.
- Multitasking: Prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities efficiently to meet the demands of a high-volume account environment.
- Technology Proficiency: Utilize various technology platforms and hospital EHR systems accurately and efficiently. Ensure HIPPA compliance.
- Data Tracking: Maintain accurate records of interactions, contacts, referrals, and other data points for reporting purposes.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Nursing, therapy, or clinical experience preferred but not required.
- Previous Clinical Liaison experience or healthcare sales related role is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of the skilled nursing facility (SNF) business line, including clinical and payment aspects.
- Excellent sales and relationship-building skills with a proven track record of success.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Availability to travel to hospitals and healthcare facilities as needed.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
