Employee Engagement & Communications Specialist

Our client is seeking an Employee Engagement & Communications Specialist to join their team. This role is ideal for a people-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys engaging with stakeholders at all levels. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to take initiative in planning and executing engagement strategies. This position requires experience in event coordination, knowledge management, and internal communications, with a particular focus on managing a knowledge portal using SharePoint.

This role is onsite in Beaverton, Oregon.

Employee Engagement & Communications Specialist Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement employee engagement initiatives, including virtual and in-person events, team meetings, and newsletters.
  • Support onboarding efforts and enhance team collaboration through clear communication strategies.
  • Design and manage a knowledge portal to ensure streamlined access to key resources and information.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align engagement efforts with business priorities.
  • Maintain distribution lists and oversee communication channels for program updates.
  • Draft key messages, presentations, and other content to support engagement initiatives.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including scheduling, room reservations, hospitality arrangements, and AV setup.
  • Gather and analyze employee feedback to inform engagement strategies and drive continuous improvement.

Employee Engagement & Communications Specialist Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, business, event management, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in communications, HR, business operations, or marketing within a global organization.
  • Strong writing, planning, and project management skills.
  • Experience coordinating and executing employee engagement events.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and SharePoint is required.
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment and work effectively across teams.
  • Strong relationship-building and collaboration skills.
  • Previous experience in a large corporate setting is a plus.
