Lab Technician

Piper Companies is actively seeking a Lab Technician to join a rapidly growing and well-funded startup located in Durham, NC bringing new solutions for cellular heterogeneity in research and clinical space studies. The Lab Technician will help with performing high-throughput laboratory experiments to produce high quality data for their clients.

Responsibilities of the Lab Technician:

• Perform and increase production workflows
• Interact with external manufacturing service providers
• Utilize existing products and solutions to create sequencing libraries.
• Ensure assay performance is efficient by reviewing procedures and SOPs.
• Perform in high-throughput laboratory experiments with 384 well scale.
• Expertise In performing pipetting techniques

Qualifications of the Lab Technician:

• 1-2+ years of relevant assay experience
• Hands of experience in conducting nucleic acid quantification assays, including fluorescence and electrophoretic assays
• Experience in high-throughput laboratory experiments (384 well scale)
• Experience in operating Next generation sequencing systems (Illumina)
• Experience with flow cytometry
• Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or a related field

Compensation of the Lab Technician:

• Salary: $26/hr
• Benefits: Cigna Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, and sick leave if required by law
