About their work/products they support:
- They are 85% outlook related tickets so that experience will always be needed. Then they also have SharePoint, WebEx, Skype, Symphony, Mattermost, Intralink, etc. They also now support Onedrive and Teams and this is a new area that his team doesn't have a ton of experience in so the new contractors they hire will definitely have new Teams and OneDrive experience. These contractors are going to need to help with the core work (85% outlook) and then the team will also lean on them for their OneDrive and Teams experience.
Position Summary:
Maintains and supports the enterprise Messaging and Collaboration infrastructure specifically with client support on a large-scale multi-site, multi-domain environment. Responsible for Messaging and Collaboration supported applications to include Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, web conferencing (WebEx), Instant Messaging (Lync/Skype, Group Chat) as major focus. Manages the integration of email with other systems such as mobile device and other unified communication technologies.
- Administers the Messaging and Collaboration user accounts in the enterprise by creating user ids, effecting username changes and moves, maintaining group lists, and removing terminated user ids (must adhere to regulatory requirements when needed)
- Assumes the leadership role in the resolution of complex technical issues (SME)
- Consults with application developers on issues related to the impact of applications
- Coordinates with application developers and project managers to deploy worldwide enterprise solutions/applications (tasks to include but not limited to testing and documentation)
- Provides technical expertise to internal IT groups and provide feedback and recommendations to management for service level and environment optimization
- Protects the overall security of the messaging environment through the administration of access control lists, security measures and certification of external organizations
- Provides training to users, junior technicians, and other IT personnel
