Kforce has a client that is seeking a Manager of Application Development in Tampa, FL.
Job Purpose:
The primary role of the Manager, Application Development is to lead and inspire a dynamic team of .NET and Angular UI developers. In this hands-on role, you will spearhead the design, development, and deployment of innovative service-based applications within a cloud environment. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions for Company's suite of applications.
General Responsibilities:
* Supervise and guide a team of developers, promoting teamwork, creativity, and ongoing professional growth
* Empower team members to work independently and self-lead, while also teaching accountability
* Drive team performance through coaching, goal setting, and regular feedback, ensuring alignment with business objectives
* Champion Agile practices (Scrum and Kanban), facilitating ceremonies and ensuring adherence to Agile principles
* Manage the architecture, design, and development of service-based applications with a focus on scalability, security, and performance
* Work closely with primary business analyst, database, QA and DevOps teams, and other stakeholders to deliver seamless, customer-focused solutions
* Champion the use of cloud services for hosting, deployment, and monitoring, driving optimization and innovation in the platform
* Utilize metrics to evaluate and manage software development efficiency, quality, and delivery speed
* Oversee the development of scalable, high-performing applications using C# .NET Core and modern architectural practices like CQRS
* Promote and enforce software development best practices, including Test-Driven Development (TDD), peer code reviews, and robust documentation
* Guide the use of service bus for asynchronous message-based communication within the platform
* Drive cloud-native application development leveraging containers and/or serverless architecture
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
* 10+ years of software development experience with at least 6+ years in a leadership or management role
* Proven experience with containerized environments using AWS Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) or Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
* Experience with AWS API Gateway or similar products
* Experience with cloud serverless computing platforms such as AWS Lambda or Azure Functions
* Experience with fully managed cloud relational databases like AWS RDS for SQL or Azure SQL Database
* Hands-on experience conducting peer reviews
* Deep understanding of SOLID principles, TDD, and CI/CD pipelines
* Strong proficiency in C# .NET Core, Angular, CQRS, and Rebus service bus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
