- Lead system design and integration efforts to enhance data ingestion, processing, and distribution for SDA and space operations.
- Collaborate with mission stakeholders to define operational requirements and identify key system improvements.
- Develop and manage system architectures to support structured and unstructured data integration into the Unified Data Library (UDL).
- Ensure interoperability between various space operations systems, supporting SDA, SATCOM, missile defense, and electromagnetic interference monitoring.
- Implement cloud-based and on-premise solutions to enhance data availability, scalability, and real-time analytics.
- Work alongside operators, analysts, and software engineers to optimize data workflows and mission decision-making processes.
- Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards, supporting secure, scalable software and system deployments.
- Active TS/SCI clearance (CI Polygraph preferred).
- Experience in space operations (CSpOC, Space Delta 5, or similar mission environments).
- Strong background in systems engineering principles, including requirements definition, architecture design, and system integration.
- Experience with data flow management, system interoperability, and operational data architectures.
- Proficiency in working with cloud environments (Azure, AWS, or on-prem) for data storage, processing, and analysis.
- Understanding of space mission data sources and the challenges in integrating diverse datasets.
- Ability to interface with customers, gather technical requirements, and implement end-to-end system solutions.
- Experience with ETL processes, data pipelines, and real-time data streaming.
- Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, etc.).
- Knowledge of sensor data, telemetry processing, and SDA analytics.
- Background in DevSecOps, Kubernetes, and containerized deployments.
- 6+ years of systems engineering, software development, or related experience with a focus on space domain operations.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field OR
- Associate degree with 2 additional years beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree OR
- High School Diploma with 4 additional years beyond the minimum required may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
