Key Responsibilities:
- Program Administration
- Keep accurate records of FEI programs and services to ensure program effectiveness.
- Assist with administrative tasks, supporting smooth operations within FEI.
- Community Outreach and Engagement
- Create flyers, social media posts, and other communications to engage the community and promote FEI services.
- Help plan and implement classes and workshops that support student learning, family strength, and community health.
- Direct Family Support
- Provide case management services to caregivers of students, offering guidance and resources to support family stability.
- Collect data and conduct training evaluations using surveys to gauge program impact.
- Team Collaboration
- Work with a diverse, multicultural population and collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Gain experience supporting immigrant and low-income families, learning about unique needs and strategies for engagement.
Qualifications:
- Current enrollment in a relevant undergraduate or graduate program
- Bilingual in Spanish and English (required)
- Strong interest in community empowerment, family support, and social services
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a creative approach to community outreach
- Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary environment
- Openness to feedback and a commitment to learning and growth
- Sensitivity and adaptability when working with families from diverse backgrounds, including immigrant and low-income communities
