We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting, account reconciliation, and internal controls, with the ability to manage high-volume accounts payable and receivable transactions. This role will oversee a team of bookkeepers and ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial data, in compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile P&L and Balance Sheet Accounts: Ensure accurate and timely reconciliation of Profit & Loss and Balance Sheet accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Oversee High-Volume AP and AR Transactions: Manage and ensure the accuracy of a large volume of accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring efficient processing and adherence to internal controls.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including monthly reports, variance analysis, and forecasting in compliance with GAAP.
  • Internal Controls: Establish, maintain, and enforce strong internal controls and processes to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data.
  • Journal Entry Management: Analyze, clean, and correct journal entries in the General Ledger (GL) to maintain accurate financial records.
  • KPI Tracking: Develop and track Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to guide business decision-making and establish best practices for financial reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • CPA or similar professional certification preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience as an Accounting Manager or in an equivalent senior accounting role, preferably within a distribution or manufacturing environment.
  • Proven expertise in P&L and Balance Sheet reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable management, and journal entry correction.
  • Experience working with high-volume transactions and complex financial requirements.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
