Position Title: Director of Marketing

General Summary:

The Director of Marketing will develop, implement, and oversee a comprehensive, data-driven marketing strategy to elevate The Quell Foundation’s brand presence across all channels. This role focuses on aligning branding, public relations, and marketing efforts with the organization’s strategic goals, ensuring consistency and clarity in messaging. With a keen emphasis on analytics, the Director of Marketing will utilize data to drive decision-making, optimize campaign performance, and measure the effectiveness of all marketing initiatives.

As the primary architect of the Foundation’s marketing vision, the Director of Marketing will work closely with all executive leadership and departments to integrate marketing efforts in a cohesive, timely, and polished manner.

The Director of Marketing will also spearhead key community outreach efforts, fostering strong partnerships that enhance the Foundation's visibility, brand recognition, and overall impact. By leveraging strategic communications, both in terms of content and engagement, the Director of Marketing will manage high-profile public-facing opportunities and programming, ensuring that the Foundation’s mission resonates clearly with all stakeholders and the broader community.

Responsibilities:

• Strategic Marketing Leadership: Lead the planning, development, and execution of all marketing and communications initiatives, including but not limited to, digital/print content, website, email marketing, public relations, newsletters, public engagements, advertising, social media, and search engine optimizations. Ensure messaging aligns with the organization’s mission and drives impact consistent with departments’ needs and Foundation’s strategic goals.

• Data-Driven Decision Making: Identify and implement analytic tooling, vendors, and processes to improve performance of marketing campaigns and deliverables. Measure, track, and analyze marketing performance to optimize strategies and inform decision-making, ensuring resource allocation maximizes impact.

• Introduce New Programs: Develop differentiated and impactful content tailored to key external audiences across multiple access points.

• Expand Footprint: Research market need and cultivate external partnerships that drive Foundation reach, followers, and donors through marketing such as podcasts, websites, blogs, news outlets, and influencers. Expand Foundation support and grow engagement.

• Media Relations & Public Engagement: Lead media relations, acting as the organization’s spokesperson, and manage external communications to increase visibility, enhance brand credibility, and increase development opportunities for the Foundation.

• Brand Consistency: Ensure the organization’s brand identity and messaging are consistently reflected across all communications.

• Department Leadership: Oversee the daily operations of the Marketing Department, including budgeting, planning, and team development. Lead a small team, set performance goals, and conduct annual reviews to foster growth, collaboration, creativity, and continuous improvement.

Skills & Qualifications

• Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.

• Team player with integrity, energy, and a resourceful demeanor with a "no job is too big or too small" attitude.

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field.

• Minimum of 5 years experience of managing marketing and communications to advance an organization's mission and goals, including experience in complex organizations with multiple services or products, and B2B/B2C thought leadership.

• Proficiency in Office and G Suite platforms, Google Analytics, and other performance measurements.

• Demonstrated ability to lead, collaborate, and execute strategic plans to enhance engagement.
