Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented grant writer to join our team on a remote, part-time basis. The grant writer will be responsible for researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals to secure funding for our sports rehabilitation programs, community outreach initiatives, and research efforts. This role is ideal for an experienced professional with a background in grant writing for healthcare, nonprofit, or wellness-focused organizations.
Key Responsibilities:
Research and identify grant opportunities from federal, state, and private funding sources.
Write compelling and highly detailed grant proposals tailored to funding organizations.
Develop and maintain a grant calendar to ensure timely submissions.
Collaborate with leadership, therapists, and financial teams to gather relevant data and supporting materials.
Ensure compliance with funding guidelines, application criteria, and reporting requirements.
Track and report on grant application status, deadlines, and awarded funds.
Assist in writing impact reports and donor communications for secured grants.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Proven experience in grant writing, preferably in healthcare, rehabilitation, or nonprofit organizations.
Strong research, writing, and editing skills with a focus on persuasive and strategic storytelling.
Knowledge of grant application processes, proposal structuring, and funding databases.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting while meeting deadlines.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Familiarity with funding sources such as NIH, foundations, and corporate sponsorships is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field preferred.
Job Type & Work Schedule:
Part-time, contract-based role (estimated 10-20 hours per week, depending on workload).
Fully remote, open to candidates based in the U.S. and Canada.
