About the Company:

We are looking for an inspired Software Engineering Manager with a background in development of cloud-native web applications leveraging technologies including .net core, C#, Angular, nodejs, and varying third-party and cloud native databases. The candidate will be guiding a high velocity, multi functional development teams focused on green-field technology platforms in the Practice configuration and compensation spaces.

About the Role:

Daily coaching and mentorship of direct reports regarding career development and engagement. Oversee and participate in activities which drive the design and development of high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems. Develop positive relationships with business partners to understand their needs, manage expectations, deliver value-add solutions and support translation of problem statements into system requirements. Assess opportunities for application and process improvements and show success through KPIs. Full application life-cycle coordination and management of deliverables in alignment with best practices and organizational compliance goals. Collaborate with other shared services teams (technical and non-technical) to ensure solutions and platforms are both functional and sustainable. Use customer and business feedback to inform roadmaps and non-functional goals.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of professional software development experience in object oriented programming language preferable dotNET, Angular and JavaScript, PostgreSQL, Cloud Containers and Serverless Components, CSS, Semantic HTML.
  • 6+ years in people management and leadership capacity managing and building teams.
  • 3+ years of experience building cloud-native solutions on AWS.
  • 3+ years of financial services/brokerage firm experience required.

Required Skills:

  • Experience building Responsive and Reactive user interfaces.
  • Experience working within both Agile and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Experience with DevOps processes.
