Winica Consulting, LLC provides consulting and construction risk solutions to lenders, investors, and developers by providing up-front construction risk assessments, oversight of in-progress construction projects, and property condition assessments.

Role Description

This is a contract-role for a very unique role and not-often-seen side of the construction industry with a growing start-up! A Construction/Architectural Consultant is that is currently stationed in Southwest or South Florida to make construction site visits for a portfolio of projects in various locations throughout Florida (Southwest Florida, South Florida). You can determine what locations you are ok with traveling to!

This position will be on an as-needed per-project basis, requiring approximately 10 to 20 hours of work each month.

Experience in commercial construction (multifamily, office/warehouse, medical, hospitality) projects is a must.

Role includes making site visits to construction sites on a monthly basis to verify work in place and status of construction. Projects typically last 12 - 16 months.

Duties include documentation of site conditions with photographs is essential as is uploading photos to specific online shared folders. You will be responsible for adhering to scheduled inspection visits, professionally visiting job sites, reviewing Contractor Payment Applications against work completed, conversing with Project Superintendent on status of construction, and walking full project site to document conditions (photos).

Qualifications

  • Able to walk for extended periods of time over uneven terrain
  • Able to ascend/descent ladders or stairs
  • Prior experience on construction sites
  • Knowledge of Construction Management
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Background Check and References required
  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Construction Managment, Engineering, or Architecture highly desired
