Position Summary:

The primary responsibility of the Enrollment and Match Support Specialist – HSBs is to ensure child safety, facilitate healthy relationship development, support positive outcomes for youth, and promote a strong affiliation with BBBS. This role combines critical responsibilities in both the enrollment and match support areas, ensuring a seamless transition for both Bigs and Littles through the full cycle of their mentoring experience. This is first accomplished by closely collaborating with the Enrollment team to recruit, screen, interview, train and match qualified applicants, with inclusivity, compassion and empathy. After a match is made, this is accomplished by providing consistent, timely, compassionate match support with all participants, throughout the lifetime of the match, in accordance with BBBSA Standards of Practice and Service Delivery Model.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • School & Community Engagement:
  • Collaborate with the Enrollment team to recruit participants at schools and community events.
  • Develop and promote positive relationships and brand awareness with school partners, including school administrative staff, counselors and teachers.
  • Attend school & community outreach events to promote BBBS brand awareness and support recruitment efforts in counties served, as directed
  • Enrollment Process:
  • Gather and ensure all required enrollment documents for the High School Bigs program are completed and processed, as directed.
  • Conduct interviews with both Bigs, Guardians, and Littles, as directed by DoER
  • Provide training to both Bigs and Littles, as directed by the DoER, ensuring they are well-prepared for their mentoring roles.
  • Contribute to & support matching participants, as needed or directed
  • Administer, utilize and document enrollment surveys and referral information
  • Match Support & Coaching:
  • Provide timely, consistent, empathetic and documented contact with volunteers, guardians, and youth in our one-to-one mentoring programs.
  • Build rapport with all match parties to foster commitment to the match relationship and agency affiliation and engagement
  • Coach match parties and resolve issues to facilitate match longevity using strength-based language and a JEDI (Justice, Equity, Diversity, Inclusion) focus.
  • Match Impact & Outcome Tracking:
  • Effectively administer, utilize, and document outcome surveys (ESS, MSS, SOR, and COS/YOS) to assess match strength and impact.
  • Monitor and document match progress, ensuring all parties are satisfied with the match experience.
  • Customer Service:
  • Provide a high level of customer service to school partners, volunteers, guardians, and youth from initial inquiry through match closure, ensuring a positive, compassionate, and safe experience.
  • Community and Fundraising Engagement:
  • Actively seek and promote agency events, donations, and donors to support sustainable agency funding as directed by agency leadership
  • Participate in agency fundraising and community outreach as needed
  • Other Duties as Assigned
  • Host one match activity quarterly and participate in monthly match activities as directed.
  • Host youth engagement or youth waitlist activities as needed
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the DoP, DoER, E.D. or BBBS-SWI Board of Directors.

Accountable For:

  • Achievement of goals and objectives including match support, survey completion, child safety, and Quality Assurance Ratings.
  • Consistent, effective communication with agency leadership, volunteers, youth, guardians, and school and community partners throughout the match.
  • Adherence to BBBSA Program Standards of Practice and Service Delivery Model.
  • Volunteer and guardian engagement as evidenced by responsiveness and participation in events.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Associate’s degree with a minimum of 4 years' experience in social services or youth related field.
  • Bilingual – strongly preferred
  • Reliable transportation with valid driver’s license; willingness to travel, as needed
  • Able to work flexible hours, evenings, or weekends to meet agency & client needs
  • Must pass criminal history background check & pre-employment drug screening
  • Experience working with youth highly preferred
