Current Opportunity: Officer, Recruitment – Austin, Tx
The Michael & Susan Dell Foundation currently has a position open for an Officer, Recruitment based in Austin, TX. As a Recruiter, you will be responsible for managing the full recruitment cycle, from sourcing and attracting candidates to interviewing and hiring top talent. You will work closely with our global hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and develop effective recruitment strategies. Your expertise in talent acquisition will be crucial in ensuring we hire the best candidates who align with our company culture and values.
What will you do?
This person be responsible for all aspects of retention, acquisition, and development of talent for the Foundation’s global operations, including the US, India, South Africa & Israel offices. Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract high-quality candidates.
- Manage the full recruitment cycle, including sourcing, screening, coordination, interviewing, and hiring.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their staffing needs and provide guidance on recruitment best practices.
- Utilize various sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, networking, and employee referrals.
- Conduct thorough candidate assessments, including resume reviews, phone screens, and in-person interviews.
- Maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future openings.
- Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in talent acquisition.
- Track and report on key recruitment metrics to measure the effectiveness of recruitment efforts.
What education and experience will you need to be successful in this role?
- A mission aligned individual with Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7+ years of experience in human resources & recruiting, preferably in a corporate setting. International recruiting is a plus.
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Workday, Paycor or similar ATS/HRIS applications.
- Proven track record of successfully filling positions across various levels and functions.
- Strong understanding of recruitment best practices and current trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with candidates, hiring managers, and external partners.
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality.

A degree of personal organization and results-orientation that would allow success in an quantitative, outcomes-oriented environment; a proven ability to exercise sound judgment and work independently on complex initiatives; the ability to work both strategically and tactically to drive human resources programs from start to finish; the leadership and motivation to drive to wise decisions and action with minimal management oversight.
