Job Title: Board-Certified Medical Physicist

Job Overview:
We are seeking a Board-Certified Medical Physicist with an MS or PhD to join our team. The ideal candidate will have recent, hands-on experience in radiation therapy, quality assurance (QA), and treatment planning systems. This role requires expertise in radiation protection, equipment calibration, and patient safety.
Key Requirements:
- Board Certification: Certified in Medical Physics or Therapeutic Medical Physics by the American Board of Radiology.
- Experience: At least two years of continuous work experience in the last three years.
- Education: MS or PhD in Medical Physics.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of radiation oncology principles and patient care.
Required Skills & Experience:
- Quality Assurance (QA): Minimum two years of experience performing QA procedures.
- Therapeutic Medical Physics: At least one year in an ACR/APEx certified healthcare system.
- Equipment & Systems: Proficiency in:
- Varian Linear Accelerators (TrueBeam with Brain Lab Accessories)
- Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT), including Cone Beam CT
- Eclipse Treatment Planning System & ARIA Record & Verify
- IMRT QA (MapCheck or equivalent)
- Toshiba CT Simulator (or equivalent)
- Superficial X-ray Machine
Key Responsibilities:
- Radiation Treatment Planning: Design and evaluate treatment plans, ensuring accurate radiation dose delivery.
- Patient & Staff Safety: Oversee radiation protection measures.
- Consultation & Collaboration: Work with Radiation Oncologists and technical staff for treatment setup and optimization.
- Quality Assurance: Perform systematic reviews of treatment plans, machine calibrations, and QA checks.
- Equipment Management: Assist with equipment acquisition, maintenance, and performance evaluations.
- Training & Education: Support professional development of residents and technical staff.
- New Procedures Implementation: Assist in the integration of new radiation therapy techniques.
