Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the Retail Rate Administration team, ensuring accurate preparation, implementation, and compliance with company policies, tariff regulations, and contracts for retail electric services.
- Oversee the development and administration of new and existing retail tariffs while coordinating with regulatory bodies, such as the Illinois Commerce Commission, to ensure compliance.
- Develop and distribute administrative directives and training materials for internal personnel to ensure consistent application of policies and procedures.
- Represent organization in regulatory proceedings by preparing testimony and serving as an expert witness on retail rate administration, tariff structures, and regulatory compliance.
- Supervise and manage personnel within the Retail Rates Administration department, including management and bargaining unit staff, ensuring proper staffing and operational efficiency.
- Formulate policy recommendations for retail electric services and participate in strategic regulatory discussions, workshops, and implementation planning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in business, economics, law, or a related field with 7+ years of relevant experience; in lieu of a degree, 9+ years of relevant experience.
- Strong leadership skills with demonstrated ability to direct and oversee team activities.
- Strong utility background (from public utility commission) - experience with pricing rates
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong analytical and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software.
- Experience working in a utility environment, particularly in finance, regulatory compliance, or retail rate application.
- Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree in business, economics, or law, expert witness experience in regulatory proceedings, and 3+ years of supervisory experience.
