Job Description: Infrastructure Engineer (5+ Years Experience)

Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with a strong background in supporting hybrid model environments for US-based government projects. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Azure and Cloudera platforms, with a focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and secure infrastructure solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of hybrid cloud environments, on-premises infrastructure, and government compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Infrastructure Design and Implementation:
    • Design, deploy, and manage hybrid infrastructure solutions for US government projects.
    • Implement and maintain Azure-based cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
    • Work with Cloudera platforms to support big data and analytics workloads.
  2. Hybrid Environment Support:
    • Manage and optimize hybrid cloud environments, integrating on-premises infrastructure with Azure cloud services.
    • Ensure seamless connectivity and data flow between on-premises systems and cloud platforms.
  3. Security and Compliance:
    • Implement and enforce security best practices for government environments, ensuring compliance with standards such as FedRAMP, NIST, and FISMA.
    • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and mitigate risks.
  4. Automation and DevOps:
    • Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, ARM templates, or similar.
    • Automate deployment, monitoring, and management processes to improve efficiency and reliability.
  5. Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
    • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and reliability.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues.
  6. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
    • Create and maintain detailed documentation for infrastructure designs, configurations, and processes.
    • Provide training and knowledge transfer to team members and stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, with a focus on hybrid cloud environments.
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure (e.g., Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Networking, Azure Storage, Azure Security).
  • Hands-on experience with Cloudera platforms for big data and analytics.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash).
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform, ARM templates, or similar.
  • Knowledge of government compliance standards (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST, FISMA).
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, and virtualization technologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications in Azure (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator).
  • Experience with Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) or similar big data platforms.
