Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with a strong background in supporting hybrid model environments for US-based government projects. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Azure and Cloudera platforms, with a focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and secure infrastructure solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of hybrid cloud environments, on-premises infrastructure, and government compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure Design and Implementation:
- Design, deploy, and manage hybrid infrastructure solutions for US government projects.
- Implement and maintain Azure-based cloud infrastructure, ensuring scalability, security, and performance.
- Work with Cloudera platforms to support big data and analytics workloads.
- Hybrid Environment Support:
- Manage and optimize hybrid cloud environments, integrating on-premises infrastructure with Azure cloud services.
- Ensure seamless connectivity and data flow between on-premises systems and cloud platforms.
- Security and Compliance:
- Implement and enforce security best practices for government environments, ensuring compliance with standards such as FedRAMP, NIST, and FISMA.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and mitigate risks.
- Automation and DevOps:
- Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, ARM templates, or similar.
- Automate deployment, monitoring, and management processes to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical issues.
- Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:
- Create and maintain detailed documentation for infrastructure designs, configurations, and processes.
- Provide training and knowledge transfer to team members and stakeholders.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering, with a focus on hybrid cloud environments.
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure (e.g., Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Networking, Azure Storage, Azure Security).
- Hands-on experience with Cloudera platforms for big data and analytics.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash).
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform, ARM templates, or similar.
- Knowledge of government compliance standards (e.g., FedRAMP, NIST, FISMA).
- Strong understanding of networking, security, and virtualization technologies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications in Azure (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator).
- Experience with Cloudera Data Platform (CDP) or similar big data platforms.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, CI/CD pipelines).
