Territory Sales Representative

Morgan Hunter has partnered with a well-established, fast growing organization in search of a driven Territory Sales Rep to manage and expand a designated territory within the construction and industrial supply sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for building lasting relationships with key decision-makers, providing technical support, and driving business growth. Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers (e.g., purchasing, engineering, management, quality teams) to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Regularly engage with both existing and potential customers to foster growth and resolve any issues.
  • Identify and target new prospects through cold calling, lead generation, and market research.
  • Present, demonstrate, and promote company products using presentations, marketing materials, and samples.
  • Close new business opportunities, meet sales objectives, and drive revenue growth within the assigned territory.
  • Provide expert guidance and technical support for the company’s product offerings.
  • Assist customers in selecting the appropriate products based on their technical needs and application requirements.
  • Work with customers to identify design improvements, cost-saving opportunities, and performance enhancements.
  • Conduct strategic account reviews to assess and align customer needs with business goals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, sourcing, purchasing, quality) to prepare quotes, address concerns, and secure long-term customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with the inside sales team to ensure customer account information is current and accurate.
  • Utilize CRM systems to manage customer data and track sales activities effectively.
  • Submit call reports, expense reports, and other documentation in a timely manner.

Qualifications

  • 5-10+ years of B2B sales experience in the construction and/or industrial supply space
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present information effectively.
  • Proficient in mathematical concepts such as percentages, ratios, and fractions.
  • Basic understanding of gross margin, profit, and revenue growth.
  • Able to interpret blueprints, technical drawings and schematics
  • Ability to solve problems with limited standardization and interpret written, oral, or visual instructions.
