We are seeking a highly skilled Plant Manager to lead the launch and operations of a brand-new manufacturing facility. This is a high-impact leadership role requiring a hands-on approach in setting up the plant, installing new equipment, and building a high-performing production team. The ideal candidate will have strong startup experience, a background in manufacturing operations, and expertise in plant optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

Plant Startup & Commissioning:

  • Lead the entire plant startup process, from site preparation to full-scale production.
  • Oversee equipment installation, commissioning, and process setup, ensuring operational readiness.
  • Work closely with engineering and operations teams to establish production workflows, safety protocols, and quality standards.
  • Develop and implement strategic hiring plans to build a skilled workforce, including production managers, supervisors, maintenance technicians, and warehouse leads.

Operations & Production Management:

  • Drive efficient production processes that maximize output, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Establish KPIs and performance metrics to monitor and improve productivity.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma) to optimize processes and reduce waste.

Leadership & Team Development:

  • Build and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Work with HR to implement training programs and career development paths for employees.
  • Establish clear communication channels between departments to align goals and expectations.

Financial & Supply Chain Oversight:

  • Manage the plant’s budget, cost controls, and financial performance.
  • Oversee inventory management, procurement, and supplier relationships to ensure seamless production flow.
  • Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to streamline supply chain operations.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing operations, with at least 5 years in a plant leadership role.
  • Proven track record in plant startups, equipment commissioning, and team building.
  • Strong expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance, safety standards, and quality management systems (ISO, GMP, etc.).
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets, cost controls, and operational KPIs.
  • Educational Background:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (required).
  • Master’s degree (MBA or Engineering Management) is a plus.
  • Certifications in Lean, Six Sigma, or Supply Chain Management are preferred.
