Responsibilities
General Summary
A competent Inside Sales Generator is organized and efficient in their work. Their primary goal is to generate new business opportunities by booking appointments with potential clients. Inside Sales Generators are the first step in the sales process, and their main responsibility is to schedule appointments with potential customers.
Duties and Responsibilities
Must be knowledgeable about the company’s products or services
Identify potential customers from a list of leads and reach out to them by phone, social media and/or email.
Research potential clients and generate leads
Contact potential clients via cold calling, email or social media
Pre-qualify prospects based on their needs
Schedule appointments between qualified prospects and sales team
Maintain accurate records of all communications with potential clients
Responsible for updating the database with customer information
Conduct follow-up calls to confirm or reschedule missed appointments
Fast-paced environment and is expected to make a high volume of cold calls
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate services or products to prospects
Advanced negotiation skills to persuade potential clients to schedule an appointment
Persistence and resilience to deal with rejection
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong interpersonal skills to deal with various types of personalities
Professionalism and courteousness to create a positive customer experience
Computer literacy for research and data entry
Attend all meetings and conference calls
Perform consistently with company core values
Maintain strict confidentiality
Provide excellent customer service, for both internal and external customers
Follow all OSHA and other safety guidelines
Actively demonstrate teamwork at all times
Adhere to company safety standards at all times
Follow other policies and procedures such that there are no verbal or written warnings during the evaluation period
Requirements
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required
Bachelor’s degree in sales, administration, customer service, telemarketing or related
One year or more of related experience; internships or university projects may be substituted
Intermediate level skill in use of computer and software, including Google and MS Office
Basic experience with AutoCAD or similar
Ability to learn position-specific software packages, such as Aurora Solar
Ability to examine documents for accuracy and completeness
Speak, read, and write English fluently.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to effectively speak with customers, vendors, and employees
Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated and work with minimal supervision
Skilled in time management and managing multiple simultaneous tasks
Demonstrated analytical problem-solving skills
Must work from the corporate office and be able to arrive at work on time on a regular basis during regular business hours.
Must be available for overtime to meet project deadlines
Ability to meet physical demands of the job which include, but are not limited to: walking, bending, pushing, pulling, lifting, transporting supplies or equipment, sitting at a desk using a computer, and occasionally lifting and carrying items which may weigh up to 25 pounds
