Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Manager who will be responsible for executing comprehensive credit limit and term analysis, granting, and monitoring processes in alignment with our organizational goals. This role involves assessing both current and potential customers to optimize sales while ensuring the department meets corporate objectives. The ideal candidate will manage credit risk across international business units, conduct periodic reviews, and build strong relationships with customers, sales teams, credit managers, and external partners. With a focus on safeguarding accounts receivable and driving cash flow, the Credit Manager will oversee the global credit policy and recommend improvements as necessary. This position requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills, experience in managing credit functions, and the ability to navigate complex international credit environments.

Location

Hybrid to Milwaukee, WI. 2-3 days/week virtual options.

Compensation

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee and administer the global credit review process to assess risks.
  • Manage the Credit Analysis function in a timely, efficient, and amicable manner across international business units.
  • Investigate creditworthiness and terms through evaluations of financial statements, trade references, credit reports, demand, and payment history.
  • Manage the organization’s holds process ensuring the proper actions are taken.
  • Arrange security instruments, Letters of Credit, and Guarantees.
  • Maintain the organization’s credit analysis model.
  • Maintain customer files and detailed records of reviews.
  • Monitor customer payments and sales activity.
  • Make recommendations to improve the company’s credit policy when necessary.
  • Review doubtful accounts to determine if accounts are uncollectable and need to be written off.
  • Revise and update credit policy, in consultation with senior executives, as required.
  • Manage job performance, training, mentoring, and coaching of credit analysis personnel.
  • Keep up to date on international credit term laws.

Education, Skills, and Experience

  • 5 years of related experience in a similar credit role, with emphasis on conducting international business, and 2-3 years experience in a management role.
  • Letters of Credit experience and financial statement spreading are required.
  • Excel, SAP, and GetPaid software experience highly desirable.
  • Post-secondary education in business, finance, or related discipline.
  • Attained or actively pursuing credit designation (CCP). Preferred designation ICCE, International Certified Credit Executive.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to write quantitative and qualitative credit analysis reports.
  • Ability to discuss financial reports and analyses.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
