  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.
  3. Make sure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is selected.
  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Pay Rate Range: 125K - 150K for Mid-Level, 150K - 175K for Senior Level

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a Software Engineer for our customer focused in the Energy Industry. They are open to either a Mid-level or Senior Level Software Engineer.

  • Maintain, support, and extend existing web-based products and services
  • Work closely with the engineering team to design, develop, and deliver new applications and features for both internal and external users
  • Build and optimize APIs for both web applications and IoT devices
  • Write unit, integration, and end-to-end tests and contribute to the development of automated testing procedures and systems
  • Mentor junior team members on software development best practices
  • Deploy and manage various applications in AWS
  • Participate in R&D and exploration of new technologies, frameworks, best practices, and techniques to continuously improve products and services
  • Optimize websites and applications to improve performance, user experience, and usability across a wide range of browsers, devices, and screen sizes

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent professional experience) with 5+ years of experience in modern web application development
  • Experience designing and implementing web application backend APIs and services in at least one modern object-oriented programming language (Current stack is .Net Core 8)
  • Experience working with at least one modern front-end web application framework such as React, Angular, or VueJS
  • Strong fundamental understanding of JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, DOM manipulation, XHR, HTTP, WebSockets, and RESTful APIs
  • Experience working with PostgreSQL and relational databases
  • Experience working with cloud infrastructure and understanding of distributed computing and systems

BONUS QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with large-scale time-series data and real-time processing and analytics techniques
  • Experience with mapping and geospatial data processing and visualization
  • Experience using Python for web application backends and/or data science applications
  • Set up and managed hosting applications through AWS (EC2 Instances, Auth, Build, and Pipelines)
